From April 3rd to 5th, Green Building Council Croatia hosted a delegation from the German Sustainable Building Council to share their extensive experience and knowledge of the DGNB system, the leading international standard for assessing the sustainability of construction projects.<\/p>

Representatives of the DGNB, Levan Ekhvaia, Sreeparna Mitra, and Daniel Neuhaus, met with the operational team of the GBC Croatia to exchange experiences and best practices in certification processes. During this meeting, emphasis was placed on the importance of the methodology for document verification, which is crucial for achieving sustainability in accordance with the DGNB system.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

One of the highlights of the visit was a two-hour question-and-answer workshop organized for DGNB-accredited consultants in Croatia. This interactive session provided a unique opportunity for about twenty participants to learn firsthand about the key elements of the DGNB system, the role of consultants and auditors, and the specifics that make this system unique and effective in promoting sustainable construction.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

An important aspect of this meeting was the emphasis on the importance of designing efficient process management systems within organizations that issue sustainability certificates. The DGNB delegation pointed out the significance of a systematic approach to process organization, which should be transparent and objective, to ensure a high level of reliability and integrity in the sustainability assessment of projects.<\/p>

The visit of the German Sustainable Building Council’s delegation represents a significant step forward in the cooperation between the two countries in the field of sustainable construction.
