The Dutch government is offering tax reduction for company’s that develop buildings that comply to the BREEAM standard (or LEED or GPR).

Search for the criteria D 6115 and E 6116 which are about BREEAM-NL criteria for newly constructed or large renovation building projects.
· Code D: is category II “milieu-investeringsaftrek”. 27% of the investment in construction of a building is eligible to use for tax reduction;
· Code E: is category III “milieu-investeringsaftrek”. 13,5% of the investment in construction of a building is eligible to use for tax reduction;
This program is VERY succesful in the Netherlands. Over the past 5 years, about 75% of Newly Constructed office GFA in the Netherlands is BREEAM certifified. This “milieu-inevseringsaftrek” is of great help for developers.
