In early October, the official kick-off meeting took place in Zagreb on October 27, 2023, at the premises of the Društvo za oblikovanje održivog razvoja (DOOR), which is the coordinator of this project. The Croatian Green Building Council and KLIK, the energy cooperative, are participating as partners.
It is estimated that by 2050, 97% of all buildings will need to be renovated. However, the annual renovation rate in the European Union is low, approximately 1%. Challenges faced in the Republic of Croatia include a lack of financial resources and knowledge, issues related to property and legal relations, a lack of subsidies, the complexity of public calls, and a lack of information and professional assistance.
The project offers a comprehensive solution for energy renovation in one place, establishing One Stop Shops (OSS) with the aim of simplifying the renovation process, thereby increasing the number of renovation projects for family houses and multiapartment buildings in Croatia. They will serve as central points for providing information related to the implementation of energy renovations for family houses and multiapartment buildings.
The project’s goal is to establish two physical One Stop Shops, one in Zagreb, and the other through the upgrade of the existing one in Križevci. Additionally, the aim is to establish an online One Stop Shop, a task assigned to the Croatian Green Building Council.
The role of the Croatian Green Building Council is to coordinate the process of creating standardized contracts to facilitate the renovation process of family houses and multiapartment buildings in all aspects. They will also be responsible for overseeing the development of an online marketplace containing all relevant information and services for citizens, including information about service providers and experts.
