Project description:

BUILD UPON is an innovative two-year project launched with the primary aim of constructing a platform to assist European Union member countries in the consortium in creating and implementing strong, long-term national strategies for comprehensive reconstruction based on green principles and deep energy renovation of existing buildings.

Deep energy renovation of existing buildings represents one of the most critical points and tools for significantly reducing CO2 emissions in Europe, decreasing energy consumption, increasing the utilization of renewable energy sources, creating green jobs in the construction sector, and enhancing the quality of life in the built environment for the benefit of all European citizens.
